Q: Why does water leak from the nozzle while the hydrant is off
A: The plunger in the hydrant has most likely worn out, or is damaged. To remedy this issue you would have to replace the plunger part 10105. 

Q: Why will my hydrant not drain after it has been shut off
A: If the hydrant will not drain it is most likely due to a hose, or device threaded onto the spout of the hydrant. If there is nothing on the spout it could also be due to the weep hole in the valve body being blocked, or clogged. To remedy this issue insure no devices are threaded onto the spout. If the weep hole is blocked you can flush the hydrant out, by removing the head, and turning the water supply on to the fixture.
